This Cameo Brooch is featured in hand carved Mother of Pearl sitting in an 18-karat yellow gold frame. 38mm from top to bottom.

Cameos heighted in popularity after the death of Queen Victorias husband, Prince Albert. The Queen, attired with mourning garb, set off a wave of popularity with mourning jewelry such as cameos which were often worn to honor loved ones.
